Kids who love the water.
Small-group swimming lessons for ages 6 months to 12 years, in a warm indoor pool, seven days a week.
Book a free assessmentWe teach one thing: how to be safe, happy and strong in the water. Everything else, from the pool temperature to the class size, is built around that.
Ottermere started with one teacher and a borrowed hotel pool. Today our own pool runs lessons from 7 am to 7 pm, and parents watch from a warm gallery with a coffee.

Four levels, each with clear goals. Children move up when they're ready, not when the term ends.

Paddle

Every level ends with a badge
Kids can see their progress, and so can you. After every lesson, teachers record what's been mastered and what's next.
- Progress notes
- A short update after each lesson, sent to your phone.
- Same teacher
- Your child keeps their teacher for the whole term.
- Make-up lessons
- Miss one? Book another slot that week at no charge.
- Badges and certificates
- Presented in the pool at the end of each level.

Fifteen minutes in the water with a teacher, so your child starts in the right level. We'll reply with times, usually within the hour.
Questions
My child is nervous about water. Is that OK?
Completely. Most of our swimmers start that way. Teachers go at your child's pace, and nobody is ever pushed under.
Can I watch?
Yes. The viewing gallery looks over the whole pool. Splash classes have a parent in the water.
What if we miss a lesson?
Book a make-up lesson in another class the same week, free, from your confirmation text.
What should we bring?
A swimsuit, a towel and goggles if your child likes them. Under-3s need a swim nappy.
